Carlito Da Cruz, also known as K-Lito. K-Lito is born in a small town in The Netherlands. K-Lito has Angolese and Congolese roots. His passion for music started at a young age. K-Lito and his family were always singing together and as a young boy he joined the local church choir.
As a teenager, his passion for music increased over the years. He created his own studio at home, where he and Afriki (known for his collaborations with famous Dutch rapper Kempi and New Wave) started their music career.
Over the years, the African rapper collaborated with many young rappers, where he could let his inspiration flow. The studio is his home. The new upcoming artist sings and raps in French, Lingala (Congolese) and English. This makes his songs popular on an international level.
Previously, K-Lito was part of an African boyband. They’ve drawn attention to themselves when they created their first music video ‘Mon Coeur’. The boyband sent their videoclip to a regional music video contest, called Video Virus. They won the Video Virus Contest twice. The boyband of four, sang and danced at large venues, such as Park pop, GelreDome and many clubs in The Netherlands and Belgium. One of their famous songs is ‘Viens’.
K-Lito is ready to take his career to the next level. As a solo artist he has the drive of ten men. His family and friends would describe him as a positive person, with K-Lito nothing is impossible. His positive mind and bright spirit is clearly noticable in his songs. He sings about the beautiful aspects in life. K-Lito’s passion is contageous. Every show is unique, due to his variable dancing and stage performance. He wants to run the extra mile, to make sure people can hear his music. With songs like ‘Mama a meli’, ‘Away’ and ‘James’, he wins the appreciation and trust of his many fans.
